Grants launched for 2014!

Grant applications are now open for 2014 and are keen to get your applications in any time from now!

This year, applications will be considered on a rolling basis, and the longest you should have to wait for a response is two months.

The priorities for this year are:

  • Improving anti-social behaviour
  • Improving the local environment
  • Improving community cohesion

The most important thing to remember with applications this year is that ALL MONEY MUST BE SPENT by March 2015! This doesn’t give a lot of time, so these grants are for a quick turn-around for projects that can spend the money in a short space of time.

We know it’s a bit of a challenge, but we’re sure you are up for it! If you’re unsure what you can do in this short amount of time, get in touch with abbeyward.reading@rva.org.uk to chat through your idea.

Don’t delay, apply today!

Abbey community First Grants are small grants of between £250 and £2500 available to residents groups and organisations in Abbey Ward (much of central Reading) to strengthen the sense of community and meet the needs of local residents. The fund is a match fund, which can be matched through financial support, volunteer time or donations in kind.

We’re also looking for new panel members who are keen to support others to apply, promote the grants, be involved in the decision making and help with communications. See our Get Involved Page for more info.
